About Us

LevelledUp Learning Inc. is a New Brunswick–based educational initiative created to help aspiring caregivers take their first steps into the healthcare field. Our mission is simple: to make high-quality, accessible, beginner-friendly training available to anyone interested in becoming a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or exploring a future in healthcare.

Founded and led by Gurkirat Kaur, Registered Nurse, and Medhaj Garg, Licensed Practical Nurse, LevelledUp Learning Inc. focuses on practical skills, compassion, and real-world preparation. We work closely with local long-term-care homes and community partners to support learners while strengthening the workforce needs of New Brunswick.

Our flagship course, the Pre-PSW Foundations Program, introduces the fundamentals of caregiving through 36 hours of engaging online theory, adapted from trusted Canadian nursing resources such as Potter & Perry’s Canadian Fundamentals of Nursing and Pearson’s Fundamentals of Canadian Nursing. Learners may also choose to complete an optional 24-hour volunteer observation experience at partnered nursing homes to gain valuable exposure in real care environments.

This introductory program allows us to gauge community interest and prepare students for future opportunities. With the upcoming changes to the Private Occupational Training Act, LevelledUp Learning Inc. plans to expand into a longer, certified PSW program with a formal preceptorship once PETL resumes registration next year.
